United Way of Massachusetts Bay is helping families and childcare providers prepare for the growing risks of extreme heat through a comprehensive set of initiatives that will build resilience during weather emergencies.

In summer 2026, in partnership with the City of Boston, we will deliver four workshops for families in multifamily housing, offering expert guidance, planning support, climate impact education, and heat emergency kits.  Additional kits will be distributed at community outreach events.

Four more workshops will equip home-based childcare educators with preparedness training, digital readiness tools, business continuity resources, and children’s materials.

Check back later this summer for workshop dates and registration links.
