Food insecurity in India is a complex and deeply entrenched issue that demands attention, commitment, and action. By addressing the pressing challenges of food insecurity, United Way India’s initiative has a tangible impact on the health and well-being of women and children.

The positive impact on the Tut family continues to expand, and UWG's assistance will enable more families to benefit from these commendable initiatives. This endeavor is an integral part of the Central America multisector alliance, Central America Growth, which is dedicated to enhancing early childhood services in the region.

United Way of Greater Kansas City is committed to making an ongoing meaningful impact for neighbors struggling with food insecurity. No family, child, or senior should ever go without meals.

In Mexico, 850 children, 100 youth, 954 parents, 24 educators and 80 volunteers delved into robotics, programming and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) applied to the rapid transformation of our way of life. The experience highlighted the importance of social emotional skills with gender equity. And it was holistic learning in cognitive, physical, creative, and emotional skills.

In a nation where abundance often stands in stark contrast to scarcity, food insecurity is a crisis that quietly affects the vulnerable. This crisis is acute for households with children and Black and Hispanic communities in Connecticut. Greater Waterbury experiences a 16.5% rate of food insecurity and a 12% poverty rate. Despite changes in economic conditions, one thing remains constant: Food insecurity is a part of daily life.
