One flagship UWZA effort is its Urban Agriculture Program, developed in partnership with diverse stakeholders. The program aims to transform emerging smallholder farmers into sustainable agribusinesses supplying fresh produce to grocery stores, restaurants and corporations.

Authorized under the state's emergency plan, the 211 service is not an ad hoc arrangement but a well-integrated element within New Jersey's strategies for mass care, public health, and communication. The initiative ensures that 9-1-1 lines are reserved for emergencies, while 211 handles non-emergency inquiries ranging from public safety to social services.

Mexico is a resourceful country with a growing economy. In recent years, nearly 9 million Mexicans have been lifted above the lowest economic threshold. Despite this progress, 65.7% of the population experiences at least one form of social deprivation. Global environmental challenges are well-known.

Wildfires are not restricted to Missoula County. Around the world, communities, and the United Ways that support them, struggle with wildfires every year. On August 8, a devastating blaze spread across Maui taking more than a hundred lives and destroying the Lahaina community.
