United Way of Greater Houston leads a coordinated, community-wide approach to disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. We strengthen partnerships, build nonprofit capacity, and mobilize resources to ensure rapid, data-informed support for the hardest-hit communities. Our Impact
In 2025, we held Disaster Preparedness & Resilience Workshops across the region. These free events give residents the tools to prepare for the unexpected — with additional emphasis on communities facing the highest disaster risk, including those located in designated Community Disaster Resilience Zones in Harris County.
