The Suncoast Prepares

Serving Hillsborough, Pinellas, Manatee, Sarasota, and DeSoto counties

Through United We Prepare, United Way Suncoast is holding workshops to help businesses and nonprofits better plan for disaster.

We're also assembling and distributing 6,000 Disaster Preparation Kits filled with essential supplies including first aid kits, flashlights, emergency preparedness information, and more.

These kits will help families prepare for, respond to, and recover from storms and other emergencies—strengthening community resilience before disaster strikes.

Stories of Resilience: Florida Suncoast

Taking on Preparedness

United Way Suncoast volunteers packed 6,000 disaster preparedness kits to help families get ready before disaster strikes.

They will help distribute 2,500 kits through All Faiths Food Bank's mobile pantries in Sarasota and DeSoto counties and another 3,500 through Feeding Tampa Bay's mobile pantries in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties.
