Serving Los Angeles County

United Way of Greater Los Angeles empowers residents to prepare for disasters like wildfires, floods, and extreme heat. Through our partnerships, we provide access to community events and workshops where families can be better equipped to make emergency plans as well as access immediate resources.

By collaborating with trusted local groups, we provide culturally relevant outreach, distribute preparedness kits, and connect people to recovery resources—building stronger, more resilient neighborhoods together.

Check back soon for upcoming events with Pasadena-based Project Passion, which distributes direct financial aid for rent and household needs to families and provides essential goods like food and school supplies.

We also have two individual disaster preparedness events scheduled for July and September.
