Meeting Local needs

United Way brings local ideas, people and resources together to make sure everyone-especially the most vulnerable-has the opportunity to thrive.

I'm always amazed that United Way touches each and every one of our communities. From children to seniors to youth, to everything and anything.

We Don't Do It Alone

We partner to bring people together and create lasting change. In Latin America, our partnership with Kyndryl has brought STEM education to 2,800 students, fostering skills for future careers while also sparking interest in tech industries.

Stories of Impact

We live where we serve, working with local leaders and residents. Together, we're using local data and local insights to create solutions tailor-made to that community's challenges. It's all rooted in United Way values and the strategies we know work, but we don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions.

Many families are grappling with the harsh reality of weeks without food, water, or shelter. And hundreds are still missing. In the chaos, United Way of North Carolina has been coordinating relief efforts, primarily focusing on people in the most isolated mountain hollers. The situation continues to be dire.
