Use the online DAFpay tool on United Way’s official donation portal to complete your contribution in a few easy steps. 

You can also recommend a grant directly from your DAF account and help strengthen communities around the world.

How to Give From Your Donor-Advised Fund

Before You Begin: Have your fund provider information and login credentials available. 

Most donors can complete the process in a few minutes.

1. Give Through United Way

United Way Worldwide offers DAFpay, a secure and convenient way to recommend a grant from your donor-advised fund directly through our online giving experience.

With DAFpay, you can find your DAF provider, sign in securely, and submit your grant recommendation in just a few steps.

Start at the United Way Worldwide Donation Portal and follow these steps to access DAFpay.

  • From the Donation home page, enter the amount you would like to give, then choose Give Once. Then click on the Donate button.

    On the next screen, select Keep my one-time gift.

  • Add your name, email and agree to our privacy policy.  Then hit Continue.

  • On the payment screen, click More Payment Options beneath the initial payment methods.

  • Choose Donate with DAFpay from the expanded payment options.

  • Search for and select the organization that manages your donor-advised fund.

  • Follow your DAF provider’s secure login process.

     

  • Select your fund, confirm your grant amount, and submit your recommendation to United Way Worldwide.

     

2. Give From Your DAF Provider

Your DAF has several advantages. You can make one larger gift to a DAF and then recommend grants to us and other nonprofits. We will acknowledge your generous gift as a DAF distribution. 

Take these simple steps:

  1. Log into your DAF provider account directly. Navigate to make a grant recommendation.
  2. Search for United Way Worldwide (Federal EIN: 13-1635294) or your local United Way by name or EIN. Visit Find Your Local United Way 
  3. Select the appropriate United Way and proceed with your grant recommendation.
