Community Chest of Korea
Established under the Community Chest of Korea Act in 1998, Community Chest of Korea (CCK) is a legally authorized fundraising and grant-making organization committed to identifying welfare blind spots beyond government reach and addressing critical social issues. With 17 chapters across the country, CCK works to create lasting, positive change in communities. CCK seeks to engage individuals, businesses and local organizations to foster a culture of sharing. CCK acts as an intermediary between donors and nonprofit organizations to support basic livelihood, education, housing, healthcare, psychological/emotional issues, social care, communication and to bridge cultural gaps.
The United Way Asia-Pacific Learning Center(APLC), based in Seoul, South Korea, has been serving as a regional hub for knowledge sharing and capacity building since 2010. The Learning Center is a joint venture led by United Way Worldwide and Community Chest of Korea that aims to strengthen community welfare systems in the Asia-Pacific region by providing a global platform for education, collaboration and best-practice exchange
