Last Mile Delivery

Transportation is vital for accessing essential services. United Way's Ride United program ensures equitable access through innovative solutions.

Ride United leverages the strength of United Ways, the 211 network, and our partners to address the unmet transportation needs of individuals and families across the country. Last Mile Delivery focuses on getting food and essential items to those in need. Our partnership with DoorDash enables us to collaborate with food pantries, grocery stores, restaurants, and schools, and secure the delivery of the items to homes.

Step 2: We Coordinate with DoorDash

United Way and 211 submit pick-up and drop-off information to DoorDash through a secure online system to schedule deliveries.

    Step 3: Deliveries Made!

The DoorDash driver picks up multiple packages and makes contact-free deliveries to clients along an efficient route; the drivers are paid at normal rate.
