Shawn Castellanos
EVP, Chief Development Officer
Shawn Castellanos is the Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer of United Way Worldwide. Shawn brings more than 20 years of experience in all facets of nonprofit resource mobilization, leading organizational capacity-building work by envisioning, operationalizing, and activating mission-focused growth and revenue strategies.
Most recently, she served as the Chief Development Officer of Ocean Conservancy. Throughout her career, Shawn has dedicated herself to the nonprofit sector through leadership roles at Cornell University, the American Heart Association, and The Johns Hopkins University.
Shawn holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa and a master’s degree from The Johns Hopkins University. She serves on the board of The HALO Trust USA, an organization dedicated to clearing and managing post-conflict explosives globally.
