Michelle has taught at NYU Law School, the University of California at Berkeley, and the University of the Pacific. Early in her career, Michelle advised Google as an associate attorney at the law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. Subsequent significant roles included interim General Counsel of the Founders Fund venture capital firm and founding counsel to Twilio, now a NYSE publicly traded company.
A strong advocate for community and philanthropy, Michelle serves as a board member with United Way Bay Area. Other nonprofit board service has included Berkeley Repertory Theatre, the Jon Logan Family Foundation, SF Camerawork, the Junior League of San Francisco, the La Cocina incubator, City Slicker Farms, and SIRUM.
Michelle earned a Ph.D. and an M.A. in History from the University of California Berkeley, a J.D. from Stanford Law School, and an A.B. in American Studies from Stanford University.
