United Way is continuously creating and developing fundraising ideas that may be similar to your materials; please do not submit information that you consider confidential or proprietary. It is possible that the idea you wish to submit has been considered previously, is in development, is being tested or is being implemented. If you submit an idea, you do so with the understanding that United Way cannot accept information other than that which you intend to share freely, without any compensation to the submitter.

If you are looking for assistance
Most United Ways are not set up to provide direct financial assistance to individuals, but we work with many community partners that do. The best way to find available resources in your area is by calling our 211 help number. It's a 3-digit number like 9-1-1, but for access to health and human services. Calling 211 will get you a trained resource and referral specialist, who will know what services are available in your area. Sometimes the 211 line can be a problem from a cell phone, or may not yet be available in your immediate area. If you can't get through on 211, you can go to www.211.org and type in your zip code. It will provide an alternate number where one is available.

If you have trouble, you can call your local United Way and they may be able to point you in the right direction. Find your local United Way.

Ty introduced Hope Beanie Boo®, the limited-edition bear to support United Way’s COVID-19 relief efforts. Hope Beanie Boo is available worldwide in essential retail outlets such as drug and grocery stores as well as on Ty.com. 100% of the profits benefit the United Way COVID-19 Community Response and Recovery Fund.

Kimberly-Clark’s Cottonelle® brand supported United Way Worldwide’s
COVID-19 Community Response and Recovery Fund through a donation of 1 million rolls of toilet paper and $1 million. The brand donated an additional $1 for each story of sharing toilet paper posted on social media with #ShareASquare, up to $100K. This commitment marks the largest single donation in Cottonelle® brand history and is part of a larger commitment by Kimberly-Clark, a longtime supporter of United Way.

To celebrate the NFL’s 100th season,
United Way and Pepsi teamed up to improve food access and security. For every touchdown between the season kickoff and Thanksgiving, Pepsi donated 100 meals to the scoring team’s local United Way. The season culminated in over 75,000 meals donated to those in need.
