United Way Worldwide President and CEO Releases Statement in Response $2B Grant

Alexandria, VA — Today (4/4/24) the Power Forward Communities (PFC) coalition – which United Way Worldwide is one of five members of – was awarded a $2B seven-year National Clean Investment Fund (NCIF) grant from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to promote affordable residential decarbonization and electrification of homes across the U.S., with a specific focus on low-income and marginalized communities. United Way Worldwide will coordinate community outreach and engagement across the country, which includes leading a mass marketing campaign and a robust investment in 211.
