CHIPOTLE RAISED MORE THAN $1.4 MILLION FOR UNITED WAY DISASTER RECOVERY SINCE 2017

United Way Worldwide today reported that Chipotle Mexican Grill has raised more than $1.4 million to support the nonprofit’s interim- and long-term recovery assistance to residents affected by natural disasters to-date since 2017.      

Through Chipotle restaurant fundraisers in local markets impacted by, or in proximity to disasters, Chipotle has supported United Way recovery efforts for those impacted by the Mexico earthquake and Hurricanes Harvey and Irma in 2017, as well as Hurricane Florence in 2018. Most recently, Chipotle led a November fundraiser that raised $380,000 from more than 75,000 participants who showed their support in the wake of devastating wildfires in Northern and Southern California.

Chipotle fundraisers supporting United Way efforts since 2017:

$400,000 – Hurricane Harvey (2017)

$430,000 – Hurricane Irma (2017)

$100,000 – Mexico Earthquake (2017)

$150,000 – Hurricane Florence (2018)

$380,000 – California Wildfires (2018)
