The devastating earthquakes that struck Turkey and Syria in February 2023 killed at least 55,000 people, and injured more than 100,000 with tens of thousands still missing and hundreds of thousands homeless, according to the United Nations

United Way has stepped up, as we always do during crises.

United Way Worldwide launched the Turkey and Syria Earthquake Relief Fund in response. Funds have supported MATAN/United Way Israel's short-term and long-term relief response.

MATAN/United Way Israel has worked with local partners to collect food, medicines, hygiene kits, infant formula and diapers and other essentials; coordinated shipments to those critically in need; and partnered with healthcare organizations to coordinate medical and long-term trauma care.

An impact report is in development, and will be shared on this page.
