United Way of Northeast Florida and the Jacksonville Jaguars Hometown Huddle Event

Hurricane Irma was a devastating force of nature that left parts of Jacksonville in turmoil. One of the most affected areas was Ken Knight Drive, part of the Washington Heights community. Years later, we reflect on what United Way of Northeast Florida and the Jacksonville Jaguars were able to accomplish. Both organizations were there to help as a part of the Hometown Huddle initiative with the NFL.

Over 100 volunteers showed up to the event to aid in food distribution, clean-up efforts and even helped to install windows and wheelchair ramps. The event helped over 300 families on Ken Knight Drive.
