Fans in the Stands Event Honors Kelly Wright

Kelly Wright, MBA R.T. (R) (M)the Midland Memorial Hospital Director of Radiology, has volunteered with the Midland Humane Coalition for the past 10 years. After losing her dog, Max, in 2010, Wright’s friend introduced her to the animal shelter in Midland, TX. During her time as a volunteer, Wright played a leading role in working with local media outlets to develop the “Pet of the Week Furrever Home program. Wright has also served the MHC in many leadership roles, including board president. Although not currently an active volunteer with MHC, Wright still volunteers with Midland Cat Wranglers and the TNR Program

“We all have something to give, and by volunteering, not only do we give back to our community,” Wright remarks. “But you can gain skills and knowledge that may open a door you never expected.”

As Super Bowl LV approaches, United Way Worldwide is celebrating inspiring volunteers like Kelly Wright, who are making an impact in their communities. While the Buccaneers and Chiefs will play in front of a reduced number of fans this yearcardboard cutouts of Wright and other community members will be cheering the teams on.
