United Way accepts Cy pres awards and, due to those gifts, we can make much needed improvements in local communities across the U.S. and around the world. We focus on improving the health, education, and economic mobility of communities worldwide. United Ways work with local charities, nonprofits, and corporations to make meaningful change within communities. Whether it be supporting programs that make nutritious food readily available to children or advocating for policies that help people find work or housing as well as reducing homelessness or promoting educational opportunities as well as delivering emergency assistance, United Way Worldwide assists communities and individuals across the U.S. and around the world.
We connect families and individuals with sustainable solutions in the areas of health care, early childhood enrichment, early grade reading proficiency, financial literacy, asset building programs, job training, affordable housing, reduction of homelessness and access to affordable computer technology, among our many initiatives.
