United Way on the Hill. Amplify the Message!

United Way is joining with nearly one-thousand advocates on May 14 to raise our voices for working families across the country. We know that in order for our nation to compete in the global economy we need high-quality child care that gives every child a solid foundation; income supports that help people reach their full potential; and good health that allows children to stay on track in school and adults be productive at work.

Take Action for Afterschool!

Happy Lights On Afterschool Day! Across the country, communities are celebrating the power of high-quality afterschool, summer, and expanded learning programs to make a difference in the lives of children and youth.

It’s United Way Education Action Week. Take Action!

To kick off the back-to-school season, United Way is organizing an Education Action Week to rally congressional and public support for education nationwide. This week, local United Ways, partners and caring citizens are joining together to send a message to policymakers to prioritize our nation’s children and invest in a quality education for all.

Call for Submissions: Blog for Education!

As the school year approaches, United Way is coordinating an Education Action Week to kick off back-to-school events and activities across communities nationwide. Help us raise awareness about critical education issues. Join our blog carnival and submit a blog post on the importance of school attendance!

It’s Past Time to Fix Our Schools

For over five years now, Congress has attempted and failed to pass the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, the largest federal program designed to improve education. Sign United Way's petition urging policymakers to pass a bipartisan bill that helps all children succeed!
