James Hardin is the Director of Community Health & Wellness at United Way of Metropolitan Dallas where he oversees work across six strategic health impact focus areas and a portfolio of 62 investments. James has been with United Way since October 2016. In his tenure, he has worked closely with our public health partners, the North Texas Summer & Supper Council, and provided his knowledge about non-profit programming to various health initiatives. James is a graduate of Texas State University where he received a Master of Public Administration and Bachelors in Sociology. He was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Senegal, West Africa focusing on health. James has worked within the non-profit sector doing fundraising, event production, and programming in New York City and Austin, TX before making his way to Dallas. In his free time, James is pursuing his love of comedy.
