I am proud to be in service of my United Way Worldwide and network colleagues. My job is to help our 1,100 local United Ways across the U.S. live our mission through building diverse, equitable and inclusive organizations.
My experience in the nonprofit sector started with the Ohio Student Association as a community fellow volunteering on issue-based campaigns. I was eventually hired as a community organizer working in my hometown Akron, Ohio.
After graduating with an undergraduate degree in Anthropology from the University of Akron I moved to Washington DC to pursue a M.A in Public Anthropology at American University. There I worked as a graduate assistant in the Center for Diversity & Inclusion. In this role I deepened my understanding of serving various marginalized communities. My next role came with Housing Up, a small nonprofit in Washington, DC committed to ending homelessness in our nation’s capitol. This work was challenging but fulfilling. From there I joined the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team at United Way Worldwide. I call upon my lived experiences, and the experiences of the community that made me, to inform my work and lead with a servant's heart. In my spare time I love to travel with my wife, get my heartbroken by Cleveland pro teams and root for The Ohio State Buckeyes.
