Lawyer, graduated in 1978 from the University of Los Andes, Mérida, Venezuela, with a postgraduate degree in Labor and Trade Union Law from the Università Degli Studi di Roma, Italy, mention Summa Cum Laude.
He held different supervisory and managerial positions in the areas of Legal and Land, Sustainable Development, Public Affairs, Corporate Volunteering and Secretary of the Board of Directors of the national oil company Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. between 1981 and 2003.
In 2001, he was awarded the President of the United States of America Award by the Points of Light Foundation of Washington, DC, for the activity carried out in the area of Corporate Volunteering.
Between 2004 and 2007, he assumed the General Management of the Colmena de la Vida project for the rescue and support of children and adolescents at social risk. As part of this initiative it assumes the national coordination of the media event Telecorazón, with which resources are obtained for the operation of the social programs of this NGO.
He was Manager of Institutional Relations of the Anglo American Group (Minera Loma de Níquel, Venezuela) between 2007 and 2015, managing together with the Executive Director of the organization the issues related to communities, communications and local government.
Since January 2017, he has been the Executive Director of Dividendo Voluntario para la Comunidad, A.C./United Way Venezuela.
He is the representative of Venezuela before the International Volunteering Association (IAVE) and member of important national organizations in the area of corporate social responsibility such as Sinergia and REDSOC, among others.
