Christopher Jackson

EVP, Chief People & Culture Officer

Christopher Jackson is the Executive Vice President and Chief People & Culture Officer for United Way Worldwide (UWW). In this role Christopher is responsible for the oversight and delivery of strategies related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and people and culture for UWW and the United Way Network to ensure alignment with strategic goals for recruitment, retention, and succession planning. He oversees the development of DEI practices, programs, and initiatives in partnership with UWW’s Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer who reports to him. Christopher also leads UWW's People & Culture team with a focus on strengthening staff engagement and performance, and the pipeline of high-performing employees. He provides thought leadership and executive management for the organization’s talent strategy which aims to make United Way the nonprofit of choice for top talent worldwide. Christopher reports to Angela F. Williams, President and CEO of United Way Worldwide.  

Prior to joining UWW Christopher was the Chief People Officer for the National Kidney Foundation where he provided strategic leadership to ensure the organization had the people, culture, and diversity to deliver on the Foundation’s mission, which serves a community of nearly 40 million patients. Christopher also founded his own HR management consulting practice where he advised clients including Fortune 500 executives. He previously held HR management roles for ROSS Dress for Less, CVS Pharmacy, and Marriott International. Christopher attended Michigan State University where he earned both a master’s in labor and industrial relations and a bachelor’s in public affairs.
