In 2018, United Way created partnerships with large tech companies to use its expertise to further the mission. With Lyft, we offered free rides via its 2-1-1 service to people in need to attend doctor's appointments, job interviews, and veterans' services. With Salesforce, it's created the Philanthropy Cloud, an employee engagement platform that uses artificial intelligence to connect employees to causes to which they want to give time or money.
