Beyoncé Aligns With Three Charities for Formation World Tour

Beyoncé has aligned with three charities to serve as "global partners" for the singer's upcoming Formation World Tour. All three organizations – the United Way Worldwide, Chime for Change and Global Citizen – will have a presence during Beyoncé's trek, which kicks off April 27th in Miami, Florida.

The philanthropic efforts were hatched out of Beyoncé's BeyGOOD global charity initiative, which the singer launched in 2013 to accompany her Mrs. Carter World Tour. Fans are encouraged to interact with the charities – either on-site, online or in the community – in order to see how they too can help out in their respective cities.

Additionally, each stop of the Formation World Tour will offer a VIP ticket contest for fans who make a small donation to the United Way, who will donate those proceeds to organizations fighting the Flint Water Crisis. "We're grateful that Beyoncé is lending her voice and support to those in Flint whose lives have been impacted by this crisis," United Way Worldwide President and CEO Brian Gallagher said in a statement.

Three stops in particular during the Formation Tour – Houston, Compton and Detroit – will also feature "special signature events" that fans can attend. The Houston event will benefit Pastor Ruby Rasmus and his Bread of Life efforts to combat hunger in the Texas city, while the Compton visit will help the Urban Education Institute. The Detroit event will celebrate both the Motor City and the citizens of Flint, Michigan.

Before Beyoncé embarks on her Formation World Tour, the singer will first debut her mysterious "Lemonade" project this Saturday on HBO.
