Barbara J. “BJ” Jones is currently the President of The Inside Scoop, LLC, providing Personal Coaching and Human Resources expertise and services.  She has been coaching people and businesses for success for the past 30 years.  BJ retired from Sandia National Labs after 25 years of professional experience in a breadth of HR managerial and functional responsibilities.  Her responsibilities included serving as the HR Director for Sandia, overseeing Staffing and Workforce Planning, Corporate Training and Development, Employee and Labor Relations, Compensation, EEO/AA and Diversity, HR Information Systems and Total Rewards Strategies. BJ has written and published“Food, Fun, Family and Friends” – a guide to entertaining at home. BJ currently serves as Chair of the United Way of Central New Mexico Women-in-Philanthropy Council, on the Church of the Risen Savior Finance Council, and as a Trustee for the University of New Mexico Anderson Business School Foundation.  She has been named as a member of the NM Chapter of the International Women’s Forum and as a Board Member for the National Women’s Leadership Council (United Way).  BJ has been active in numerous state and local organizations ever since moving to New Mexico 30 years ago.  She is past president of the NM BioPark Society and has served on the Boards of Bosque School, All Faiths Receiving Home Foundation, United Way of Central New Mexico, Explora Science Center, and the Leadership Albuquerque Alumni Association.  She has served in volunteer roles with the YWCA, Girl Scouts, Stanford Club of New Mexico, and the Church of the Risen Savior.  BJ is a graduate of the Leadership Albuquerque and Leadership New Mexico programs and was honored a New Mexico Distinguished Public Service Award in 2008.  She also was honored to be selected as a “Spirit of Betty Crocker” award winner in 1995.  Earlier in her career she served as the Large Business Representative to the NM State Legislature Interim Task Force on Health Care Reform and to the NM Workforce Development Board.   BJ earned a B.S. in Medical Microbiology, and an MBA, both from Stanford University.  She is a graduate of the Lockheed Martin Executive Coaching Certification program. She is proud to married to Orlando Lucero and to be the mother of Estrella Lucero.
