United Way Worldwide Honored as 2017 Platinum MarCom Award Winner

United Way Worldwide Named Winners in Additional Four Categories

Alexandria, VA (November 1, 2017) United Way Worldwide was named the winner of a Platinum MarCom Award Winner for its newest Public Service Announcement (PSA), “Join the Fight.” Additionally, the organization was awarded Gold MarCom Awards for its enterprise-wide Twitter feed, Annual Report and Blog. United Way Worldwide’s My Free Taxes Social Media campaign was recognized with an Honorable Mention also.

“We are very proud to be recognized by the MarCom Awards,” said United Way Worldwide Chief Marketing Officer, Lisa Bowman, “Our team is comprised of dedicated and talented people that bring their best selves forward every day to fight for the health, education and financial stability of every person in every community. These awards are a tribute to the millions of people that we are honored to serve every day.”

MarCom Awards recognize outstanding achievements by creative professionals involved in the concept, direction, design and production of marketing and communication materials and programs. MarCom is one of the oldest, largest and most prestigious creative competitions in the world and is sponsored and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals (AMCP), a 23-year-old international organization consisting of several thousand creative professionals. As part of its mission, AMCP fosters and supports the efforts of creative professionals who contribute their unique talents to public service and community organizations. Over the past few years, AMCO has given over $250,000 in charitable contributions.

Winners are selected from over 300 categories in Print, Web, Video and Strategic Communications.
