United Way Worldwide, the world’s largest privately-funded nonprofit, today elected D. Roger Nanney, Vice Chairman of Deloitte LLP, to a second, two-year term on the United Way U.S.A. Board of Trustees.

Nanney agreed to a second term as a trustee because United Way plays a critical role in improving educational opportunities for children and youth, increasing the financial stability of low wage families and increasing healthy behaviors. United Way advances the common good by focusing on improving education, helping people achieve financial stability, and promoting healthy lives by mobilizing millions of people to give, advocate, and volunteer to improve the conditions in which they live.
Nanney is Vice Chairman of Deloitte LLP, one of the nation’s leading professional service organizations, providing audit, tax, consulting and financial advisory services. He is a member of the US Clients & Industries senior leadership team and an advisory partner for many of Deloitte’s largest clients. He previously served as a member of the US and Americas Operating Committees and as the Mid-America regional managing partner, among the fastest growing of the organization’s U.S. regions.
Nanney is a dedicated community leader at both the local and national level. He currently serves as Chair, Dallas Center for the Performing Arts Foundation; Executive Board Member, Edwin L. Cox School of Business, Southern Methodist University; and Trustee, PGA of America Foundation.
