Aquarius Sports and Entertainment Founder Is Elected to United Way’s U.S.A. Board of Trustees

United Way Worldwide, the world’s largest privately funded nonprofit, today elected Marc Bluestein, Founder and President of Aquarius Sports and Entertainment, as an at-large trustee to support the organization’s U.S. movement over the next three years.

“Marc’s experience with working with Fortune 500 clients will be a great asset to United Way’s expanding work with global companies. His creative marketing expertise and keen business sense bring great strengths to the United Way movement,” said Brian Gallagher, President and CEO of United Way Worldwide.

Bluestein accepted the election to the U.S.A. Board of Trustees in support of all the community-based work the United Way movement represents. United Way advances the common good by focusing on improving education, helping people achieve financial stability, and promoting healthy lives by mobilizing millions of people to give, advocate, and volunteer to improve the conditions in which they live.

Bluestein has over 15 years of experience in negotiating and implementing sponsorship deals at the national, regional and local levels for sports teams as well as Fortune 500 clients. As Founder and President of Aquarius Sports and Entertainment, a sports sponsorship, entertainment and event marketing agency, Bluestein oversees operations, sales and sponsorship consulting efforts for the agency’s client roster. Prior to Aquarius, Bluestein served as Senior Director of Sponsorship Sales for Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic, where he sold sponsorships for a number of professional and regional sports properties.

Bluestein serves on the Steering Committee and Board of Directors of the National Sports Forum and has also served as a guest lecturer at Georgetown University’s Sports Industry Management Master’s program.
