United Way Worldwide President & CEO Brian Gallagher and Sr. Vice President and Counsel for Public Policy Steve Taylor discuss the organization’s tax priorities with congressional members on Capitol Hill. NBC followed Gallagher and Taylor as they met with lawmakers to urge them to expand the charitable deduction to all American taxpayers. If current tax reform proposals are adopted, an estimated 31 million taxpayers would lose their tax incentive to give to nonprofits.
