Income inequality isn't going away without the help of governments and the private sector.
"Income inequality is driven by jobs," said Brian Gallagher, President and CEO of United Way Worldwide, the world's largest privately-funded nonprofit, adding that the Trump administration's plan for infrastructure projects is helpful in the effort to solve income inequality.
Gallagher also pointed to the importance of apprenticeships in tackling income inequality.
"If you look at apprenticeships in Europe - it's not just about manufacturing," he said, adding that investment banking giant Credit Suisse (CS) has 700 apprentices in its corporate headquarters in Switzerland.
