The conflict is devastating for Ukrainians, whose lives have been upended and whose future is uncertain. In accordance with our mission of mobilizing the caring power of communities for the common good, United Way is launching the United for Ukraine Fund in response to this urgent and growing humanitarian crisis.
As families migrate to safety across Europe, our trusted partners on the ground, United Way Romania, United Way Hungary, PHINEO/United Way Germany, United Way Netherlands, United Way Spain and Fundacja Dobrych Inicjatyw (Good Initiatives Foundation) in Poland, are helping those who have been displaced by this crisis. They are working with local partners to determine the needs on the ground and addressing immediate and longer-term relief needed for those made vulnerable by the fighting.
These local Funds provide immediate support (transportation, shelter, food & medicine, supplies for children) along with longer-term support for refugees (education, job training/search support, housing, etc.)
By donating to United Way, you’re supporting vetted, nonpartisan organizations on the ground and providing vital help to those who need it most. This situation is fluid and there is no doubt the needs will be great and will continue for some time.
