Miami Dolphins and United Way of Broward County Donate 1,250 Thanksgiving Meals to Veterans

On November 25, 2020, the Miami Dolphins, United Way of Broward County and Florida Power & Light Company teamed up to distribute 1,250 Thanksgiving meals to Veterans, Active Duty Military members and their families.

Miami Dolphins staff and United Way volunteers, along with United Way of Broward County CEO, Kathleen Cannon and Director of United Way of Broward County MISSION UNITED, Sybil Allison, were among those who participated in the event.

“There’s a huge support system and structure in place for our military Veterans here at MISSION UNITED so we are here to support and provide necessary resources for our troops especially during the holidays,” said Allison.

The MISSION UNITED program supports U.S. Military Service Members, Veterans and their families and focuses on the transition into civilian life. Key areas of importance include education, health, employment resources, legal assistance, financial stability and housing support.
