United Way New Zealand is an independent, non-religious, non-political, volunteer based organisation that encourages generosity by brokering resources (money, time and skills) between individuals, businesses and the community. United Way New Zealand’s operations are funded through corporate partnerships, service fees, investment interest, donations and grants. To keep the organization’s overheads at a minimum, approximately 150 volunteers nationwide willingly donate their time and skills to help with United Way New Zealand’s governance, committees.
At United Way New Zealand, our investment strategy focuses on supporting small to medium sized human welfare charities that lack the name recognition or size to attract significant funding, but non-the-less provides high quality essential services in the community. We are New Zealand’s local charity – focused on helping the helpers.
We are a charity who exists to provide a vital link between the giver and the receiver, be it money, time or skills. We are New Zealand’s local charity – focused on helping the helpers.
