Donating stock to United Way is win-win! You’ll help support our work in the community and get tax benefits. 

Want to give? Ask your broker to transfer the stock directly to United Way or United Way Worldwide. We’ll give you everything your broker needs — the name of our brokerage, account info and contact details. Once your broker transfers the stock, it’s done! Just make sure the stock is transferred before it’s sold to avoid extra taxes.

The step are simple:. All you need to provide is: 1.) your contact information, so we can acknowledge your gift; and 2.) the name of the stock and number of shares to be donated. Please reach out to give@unitedway.org, and we will follow up with our broker's contact information. 

Thinking about your will? You can now make or update it for free — and you can leave a lasting gift to United Way at the same time! We’ve teamed up with FreeWill to offer you an easy way to create your will at no cost.
