The “Wandering gallery” composed of paintings of “Nikifors World Contest” laureates, during the summer months, “visited” two interesting places in Warsaw.
Town Hall walls
For the fourth time, works of mentally disabled artists moved to the big boards and decorated the walls of one of the most recognizable buildings in Warsaw - the Town Hall, located in the city center. It was the anniversary exhibition which consisted of the best works of the last seven years. The exhibition, which can be seen throughout August, was warmly welcome by Warsaw citizens.
The original works of this year’s Contest winners were displayed in the very hospitable „Invisible Exhibition” dedicated to blind people. The aim of the project, jointly conducted by two foundations, was to present the original and fascinating works of the artists of the circle of “art brut”. Warsaw is the third after Bucharest and Prague city in which the Invisible Exhibition is open. Invisible Exhibition is a unique interactive journey into total darkness, in the invisible world, where guides are blind or visually impaired.
