Laura started her career with United Way Worldwide (UWW) in 2003 and has been instrumental in the creation and expansion of United Way’s national economic mobility work. As the Senior Director of Economic Mobility and Corporate Solutions, Laura is responsible for the implementation of United Way’s enterprise-level economic mobility work, which includes developing philanthropic and corporate partnerships in support of UWW’s ten-year goal of helping five million people in the United States get better jobs.
Laura’s areas of expertise include financial education and coaching, free tax preparation, receipt of tax credits and public benefits, small-dollar lending, workforce development, employment-based financial solutions, strategy development, grant writing, and partnership development.
Prior to joining United Way, Laura was a Program Associate for Ashoka’s USA and Canada fellowship program. She earned her degree in English literature from West Virginia Wesleyan College.
