Kevin Kiger has more than 13 years of experience developing, producing and executing strategic communications and development campaigns. Devoted to serving the public interest by strengthening and building capacity among NGOs and the communities they serve, he currently serves as Director of Network Communications, Brand Strategy and Marketing at United Way Worldwide. In his role, he streamlines the organization’s communication efforts with the worldwide network of nearly 1,800 United Ways in more than 40 countries and territories. He increases peer-to-peer communication with and among United Ways, communities and partner organizations to build brand strength and visibility.

Global Resident Fellows Graduate and New Class Announced

Established in 2008 by Lilly Endowment, the Global Resident Fellows Program was created to identify, engage and develop the next generation of worldwide United Way leaders. The program offers a year-long leadership development journey through various events and activities led by United Way Worldwide and external thought leaders including on-the-job cross-functional projects, cross-cultural awareness, action-learning projects, mentoring and discussions with United Way thought leaders around the world.

Lessons of Global Resident Fellows Impact Local Communities

Heath Niemeyer has worked for United Way since 2007 and currently serves as the Director of Resource Development at United Way of Tarrant County, Fort Worth, Texas. One of 26 United Way leaders representing 14 languages and ten countries, Heath is a recent graduate of the Global Resident Fellows Program, where he acknowledges that being exposed to and working with different cultures, approaches and points of view has helped strengthen his ability to address local priorities and programs.
