A Stanford University Program for Hungarian Children

With the aim to help more disadvantaged children achieve their potential, United Way Hungary partnered with a local foundation applying and promoting a special teaching method originally developed by Stanford University and introduced in 11 primary schools in Hungary. The educational program called „Complex Instruction Program” has proven very effective in providing academic access and success for all students in heterogeneous classrooms. As part of the partnership United Way Hungary provides financial support to ensure that more than 2000 children participate in the educational program in 2014 and made the commitment to help develop a long term strategy for a sustainable growth of the program in Hungary.
