Marc Bluestein is president and founder of Aquarius Sports & Entertainment, a sports sponsorship, entertainment, and event marketing agency. An industry veteran, Marc started Aquarius in January of 2008 after many years’ experience in the sports and entertainment marketing field. Marc’s vision is to provide one-stop services and solutions to meet companies’ marketing goals.
With a proven track record, Marc has more than 15 years’ experience in negotiating and implementing sponsorship deals at the national, regional and local levels for teams as well as Fortune 500 clients. At Aquarius, he oversees the day-to-day operations, sales, and sponsorship consulting efforts for the agency’s client roster, which includes AAA, Modern Business Associates, RCN Cable, Arby’s, the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the National Football League.
Prior to Aquarius, Marc held several industry positions, including vice president of sales and marketing for Sportsworx, where he led corporate marketing sales representation efforts for the Washington Nationals franchise, the Nationals Radio Network, the Washington Capitals, and the BB&T Classic College Basketball Tournament.
Additionally, Marc has served as senior director of sponsorship sales for Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic, where he sold sponsorships for a number of regional sports properties. Prior to Comcast SportsNet, Marc was Sports Illustrated’s Midwest integrated sponsorship sales manager, responsible for developing and selling sponsorship packages with multi-media platforms around major sporting events. Marc started his career handling media planning and buying for Mediavest Worldwide, which included negotiating and activating sports marketing corporate sponsorships for several major consumer brands including Coca-Cola, Philips Norelco, and Procter & Gamble.
Over the course of his career, he has developed, negotiated and activated integrated sponsorship agreements with properties such as the Super Bowl, the Olympics, the NCAA Men’s Final Four, the PGA Tour, and multiple NFL, NHL, NBA, and MLB teams.
In the spring of 2010, Marc was appointed to the Steering Committee and Board of Directors of the National Sports Forum. The National Sports Forum is the largest annual cross gathering of the top team sports marketing, sales, promotions and event entertainment executives - from throughout the broad spectrum of teams and leagues, (i.e. NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, Minor Leagues, Racing, Colleges, etc.), in North America. Additionally, Marc has served as a guest lecturer for Georgetown University’s Sports Management Masters program.
Marc attended the University of South Florida, where he studied Business Administration and Marketing. Marc and his wife live in Clarksburg, MD with their two sets of twins. Marc enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and playing racquetball. Active in the community, Marc also donates his time to several philanthropic initiatives.
