Anthony retired as the Vice President, Global Diversity & Inclusion and Chief Diversity Officer for Johnson & Johnson in March 2015. Under his leadership, Johnson & Johnson was listed in the top ten amongst the 50 best companies in America for diversity by DiversityInc magazine, including the number one position in 2008. Anthony is the recipient of the National Medical Fellowships Diversity in Healthcare Award, the Corporate Diversity Award from the New Brunswick, New Jersey Branch of the N.A.A.C.P. and for four consecutive years was recognized by Black Enterprise magazine as one of the top Chief Diversity Officers in America.
He is currently President of the Board of Trustees of the Crossroads Theatre Company in New Brunswick, New Jersey; Member of the Board of Trustees of the United Way – USA; Board Member –Emeritus of National Medical Fellowships; and Member of the Parish Pastoral Council at Saint Joseph’s Church and Parish Center in Hillsborough, NJ.
Anthony was a Member of the Fordham University Task Force on Diversity, which in 2016 published a comprehensive set of recommendations to address the issues of diversity and race at that University. He also serves on the President’s Council at Fordham University.
Anthony and his wife, Wendy, currently reside in Hillsborough, New Jersey. Their adult children are Austin, Ashley, and Dayne and grandson, Elijah.
