Who Would have Imagined?
I was born, and did my schooling in Malawi, Africa. Two teachers in particular inspired me, one was part of the American Peace Corps, and another was part of the British Voluntary Service Oragnisation (VSO). What they perhaps did not realise is that they allowed me to visualise a world beyond my wildest dreams, a world where the freedom of speech was expected, hard work was valued and rewarded, and education was the key to success. Inspired by their teachings, I now live and wirk in the US, but I wonder if the teachers actually realised the impact of their teachings on a young african boy, and where he is now due to their teachings. Let this be a lesson to all aspiring new teachers who think their work is unfulfilling.
