Out of the Box
I have 2 teachers that changed my life. Mr Jackson and Mr Moody. They taught together in a new, out of the box, type schedule. Mr Jackson was English and Composition, Mr Moody was History and Civics. They had this crazy system where they had us for 2 periods together and sometimes we did seperate things and others we were together as one big group doing a mock government setting or a judicial court case or a composition writing competition. They kept our young minds engaged and active. They were not strapped down by a book and reading a chapter a day. They taught me to think outside of the normal routine, to look and approach things from all different angles. That lesson has helped me a lot over the years, not only with my professional life, but my personal life too.
