OLD GRACIE: AN EPITAPH
I write poetry under the 'penname' TJ Daniels. The _T_ is for a friend Tim, the _J_ is for his G/F Jenny and Daniels is for me, Daniel. TJ Daniels just had a melodic, poetic ring to it. Now on the the 'good stuff' the poem.
"OLD GRACIE: AN EPITAPH"
Her name was Mrs. Grace Knipp
and how well I remember her.
She was known as 'Old Gracie'
by most of us boys in her class.
No one misbehaved
for if you did
she taught you other uses for the ruler.
You found out that it worked
just fine on backsides.
A few times
she had to take hold of my ear
or someone elses and raise it
with the rest of our body following.
She was a great teacher though
also a Great Lady. These days
whenever she is mentioned
she is still refered to as
'Old Gracie'
but out of respect.

(She is no longer among us but not forgotten. Not only was she our teacher, she was also the school principle. In Later years, after that school closed she went on to another school to Harrass some more poor unfortunate children. (J/K) (smile)
