Ms. Lana Turner
Ms. Lana Turner (no, not the actress), my eighth grade journalism teacher at Evans Junior High in Spartanburg, South Carolina, introduced me to the wide world of newspaper reporting. With her guidance and encouragement, I figured out what I wanted to be when I grew up. Having that goal helped me stay focused through some tough years in high school. Thanks, Ms. Turner.
