Mrs. Tackett

I went to school in Frenchburg, KY. Our small school was k-12 and my graduating class had less than 60 people in it. Menifee County high was a wonderful place to go to school. My sister dropped out of high school at the young age of 16 and all I had to say to my mother was the words "I want to drop out" and I could have. There was one teacher who not only cared about my success she made sure I knew I could do it. Mrs. Tackett checked on my every day. When report cards came out she was the first one that would ask me how my grades were. She asked me if I needed help or if there was anything she could do. She only stood a little over 5 feet but to me she hung the moon! If it wasn't for Mrs. Tackett I would not have finished high school 12 years ago. Last year when I enrolled in college she was the first person I thought of.
