Mentor a child and change a life
When I was 13, a local veterinarian, Michael Marmesh DVM in Miami, Florida, allowed me to shadow him in his exam room and in surgery for 4 years. He explained something on every case. I credit Dr Marmesh for giving me a role model, largely responsible for my following a career in medicine. You can be a teacher and change a life without ever using a school or classroom.
