How Many Names Can You Recall?
When I saw the prompt to share about a teacher that changed my life, my immediate inclination was to reminisce my two most influential teachers; Mrs, Jordan and Mr. Samuels.
Mrs. Jordan was my kindergarten teacher that fostered a passion for education from the first day of school and Mr. Samuels was my fourth grade teacher that reinforced and cemented that passion. I have come to realize that there is no grand story or explanation... actually, not even a single momentous or defining occassion that sets these teachers apart.
Why bother to write about two seemingly ordinary teachers??
Simple. Almost entirely because they are the ONLY two names I could recall year after year. I credit them for letting their passion ignite my own.
I am dedicated and thrilled to soon be living out the dream of doing the same with students of my own!
