Getting Back to Basics
Mrs. Steele my third grade teacher was the inspiration in my life and prepared me for the future. She made you feel confident in yourself but stressed getting back to basics to establish a baseline for future learning. What a lot of schools today lack is teaching the basics and moving away from overemphasizing fun. Teachers could benefit today from Mrs. Steele's inspiration. She is the reason I am now president of the local Board of Education and a successful engineer.
